Chief Development Officer at Providence Health Group, LLC. Mitch began his professional career in the contracting business. Soon after obtaining his first license, the entraprenual desire became real and he began his first business. Soon afer starting this mechanical contracting business he built a client base that consisted of many health care clients. Over time one large Health Care Client offered him a position to manage and run all of their physical plants.From that time in 2002 until todayhe has been involvedin healthcare on numerous levels.
Under The Providence Groups, in addition to assisting in operations and development Mitch also provides consulting for healthcare clients. Mitch uses his diverse background to help clients understand how the physical plant functions and how to maximize efficiencies of systems, design systems or campuses and navigate the often difficult arena of healthcare codes and inspections.
Mitch previously worked at Signature Healthcare, formerly Home Quality Management, for 11 years. He was involved in the growth of this company from 14 facilities to 72 facilites while serving in this role. In this role he also oversaw the daily plant operations, capital budgeting, life safety inspections, disaster preparedness and code compliance of over 70 facilities totaling over 3 million square feet located across the eastern United States. Mitch was also CEO of SHC Construction Services LLC (SHCCS). SHCCS was created by Mitch and grew into a full design build firm. At the peak of operations in 2011 SHCCS employed over 85 employees which included numerous skilled trades as well as having architects and engineers on staff. Mitch was able to operate this design build firm and offer high quality construction in a timely and affordable manner; like few others in the industry. Mitch was involved in the renovation of over 25 facilities totaling approx. 1 million square feet. He also managed the new construction of a facility of 70,000 square feet. Mitch was also CEO of SHC Furniture. SHC Furniture was created by Mitch from an idea that manufacturing could still be done in America with the blend of technology and low overhead. At the peak of operations SHC Furniture was producing over 100 units per week validating the concept.
Mitch and his contributions have received recognition. Mitch was named to The 40 under 40 by Louisville's Business First magazine. This award recognizes the City's top 40 business leaders under the age of 40. Mitch was also awarded the Employee of the Year Award in a company of over 7,000 employees. SHCCS was recognized by Signature Healthcare as the start up company of the year.
Mitch is licensed in HVAC, Certified in Universal Refrigeration by Ferris State University as well as a Master Electrician also holding his Electrical Contractors License and has worked as the General Contractor on numerous projects. Mitch is active in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and has been deemed an expert witness on life safety in the healthcare arena.
Lastly, in 2007, Mitch obtained an Executive MBA with a specialization in HealthAdministration and Policy from the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL campus.
